KEYNOTE PRESENTERS
Tom is a Associate Professor of Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University. He is an Associate Professor in the Proton Science at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and he also serves as a Director of SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis. Tom is a key senior investigator in JCAP and a Thrust 1 coordinator. Tom’s research team “focuses on fundamental catalytic processes occurring on solid-state surfaces in both the production and consumption of energy.” To learn more about Tom’s work and his laboratory, please follow this link.
Shannon is an Associate Professor of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry and ONAMI Signature Researchers and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of Oregon. Shannon’s research team is focusing their efforts “on designing, synthesizing, and understanding materials for applications in energy conversion and storage.” To learn more about their work, please follow this link.
John is a key senior investigator in JCAP and a Thrust 2 coordinator. After coming to Caltech, John became the leader of the high-throughput experimentation (HTE) laboratory. His team focuses on “high-throughput materials discovery, combinatorial materials synthesis, high-throughput electrochemistry, connecting materials theory and experiments, synchrotron characterization, electrochemical stability screening, semiconductor-metal interfaces, mathematics of compositions spaces and phase diagrams, applications of machine learning in materials science, electrocatalysts for solar fuels and fuel cell reactions, photoelectrochemistry, experiment automation, and data management.”
